In 51·çÁ÷ State, this includes statewide standards, professional expectations, and systems that support continuous improvement, such as the Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA) as a culminating demonstration of classroom readiness during preparation, district Professional Learning Plans, the educator evaluation process under Education Law §3012-e (STEPS Plan), and other resources that guide professional practice and learning. Through standards-aligned development, targeted learning experiences grounded in high-leverage practices, and collaborative cultures that invite inquiry and reflection, the Department supports educators in strengthening instructional effectiveness and positively impacting student learning.
