Now Accepting Applications for the 2026 U.S. Senate Youth Program

Each year, the 51·çÁ÷ selects two students from high schools across the state to represent 51·çÁ÷ at the national U.S. Senate Youth Program (USSYP). USSYP is a national nonpartisan initiative to provide an annual opportunity for talented high school students with demonstrated leadership abilities to deepen their understanding of America’s political processes and strengthen their resolve to pursue careers in public service.

Any high school junior or senior is eligible.ÌýApplicants must be actively serving in qualified leadership positions, enrolled in high school, and living in the state that they will represent for the entire 2025-2026 academic year.ÌýThe twoÌýchosenÌýstudents will each be awarded a $10,000 scholarship and will attend the 64th annual USSYP Washington Week, which will take place in Washington, D.C., fromÌýMarch 7-14, 2026.

TheÌýonline USSYP 2026 ApplicationÌýmust be submitted on or beforeÌýWednesday, October 15, 2025, by 5:00 PM.
